I'm a Kickstarter / Indiegogo Backer, and I have a question or need help with my pledge / survey
First off, thanks for your support! We appreciate our backers tremendously. Here are a couple of suggestions:
- Check the Kickstarter/Indiegogo campaign you pledged for to see if any recent updates have been posted that might answer your question - we post frequently and thoroughly!
- If you can't find the information you need, get in touch with us and we're happy to help. Preferred method is private message via Kickstarter/Indiegogo, but you can also just email email@example.com.
Where do you make your barware?
Some tools are made by Shawn Michael in our own workshop here in San Diego, like the Ebony and Maple Muddlers. We also do prototyping for most of our tools locally.
Other tools require manufacturing processes and expertise that we rely on professionals for. Our metal barware is made in southern China through a contract manufacturer we've been working with since 2014. We are known for the level of quality and integrity that we ensure our tools possess, and our VERY strict QC standards.
Why don't you sell on Amazon?
We used to sell our tools on Amazon. However, partnering with them was damaging the intentional relationships we've worked hard to build with our customers, and Amazon proved impossible to work with when problem-solving customer issues.
We regret that we cannot offer the equivalent of Amazon's Prime 2-day shipping. As we grow our small business, we hope to offer competitive shipping rates in the future.
In the meantime, any US order over $100 ships FREE.
How do I care for my Wingman and Aero Bar Spoons?
Both bar spoons are stainless steel and can be washed by hand or in a dishwasher with other bar tools and utensils.
The Wingman also benefits from an occasional drop of olive oil at the top and bottom of the spinning handle, especially if you notice any noise coming from the spoon when in use. The oil you use should be food safe, and helps lubricate the spinning motion while reducing friction.
How do I use the Aero and Wingman Cocktail Spoons to stir drinks?
Visit our Proper Stirring Technique page under the Resources section to find more information on how to use both of our cocktail spoons.
What kind of ice should I use when stirring cocktails?
Visit our All About Ice page under the Resources section to learn more about what ice is best used for stirring and serving cocktails, including ice size, quantity, quality, and a section on clear ice.
How do I partner with Standard Spoon and/or become a retailer of your products?
Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we'd be happy to discuss wholesale rates and partnership opportunities.
Do you have bulk pricing for bars, restaurants, and industry use?
Yes! If you're in the industry and want to purchase barware for use at your restaurant, bar, event, or as gifts, please email email@example.com with the subject line "Industry Pricing Request"
